Health Food News Survey (North America 2009)
The Health Industry Survey will be organized in parts and through a series of questionaires presented by ResearchPoll.com, an affiliate website also owned by our parent company Ratner Media in Los Angeles. The effort will begin a planned series of annual surveys that Health Food News reporters will begin interviews for prior to major industry events, expos and leadership gatherings.
In partnership with a yet to be named sponsor(s) Health Food News plans to conduct it's first Research Poll following up attendees and exhibitors planning to attend various industry functions and trade shows. "We can learn a lot from simply asking our survey targets about their thoughts and marketplace experience" says Mike Ratner, Editor-In-Chief of Health Food News. The motivation to conduct the survey comes from the need to ask "How can we be more effective in serving the natural products industry by getting the word out about great new discoveries and products?" Ratner wants to measure how the message is getting out and help consumers learn about "Green living and making more enlightened choices."
In addition to hosting Health Food News, Ratner has a long resume having been involved in the media and is a long time advocate of health food and known experimenter of how "community conversations" can influence public opinion.
Ratner's Research Poll firm designs surveys and outsources calling centers to do extensive phone surveys and handle inquiries generated from direct response marketing ads. Now that Health Food News is part of the Ratner Media family of online newsites - leading the way of expanded social media and next generation press wire services. "We have a global vision of an All Press Wire conduit so all the competing media sources are found aggregated on one site. Until we get to this level of preference we are encouraging companies to get on the futuristic bandwagon and experiment with us. Let us work with you in helping you get the word out about your new product or formula. Whether it be a widget or optimized blogging campaign we want to do the research and see what works best. That is why we are going to engage leading companies in the industry to partner with us in a massive co-promotion effort that can have a tremendous news viral affect on the internet in spreading word and adaptability like wild fire." Ratner concluding remarks were just a brief statement regarding his plans to expand Health Food News into a viable media communication power house of news blogs, press release postings, email newsletters and press conference capability to round out what All Press Wire as a combined service agency would be capable of. He asked for input and help. Mike began collecting data dating back in 1983 while in college and was hired the next year to work in San Francisco for the Democratic Convention and later for Television Preview with Steve Block. Television companies use audience surveys to determine if a program has a likely chance of scoring high ratings, companies study the best way to advertise their message. The information we are seeking focuses on understanding various aspects of the North American natural products market and overall health food industry. All surveys are conducted by ResearchPoll.com through direct methods either face to face, focus groups or tele-survey.
